The photo below shows about 2.5 of the 3 mile
stretch of Playa Grande beach, ending at Palm Beach - you can just make
out the
community in the photo near the bottom edge. The larger map
allows you to see details of Palm Beach Estates. There are virtually no
other houses besides those in Palm
Beach Estates until you get to the little town of Playa Grande at the
far northern end).

The map above, from http://www.unicaribbean.com , shows the following
(all relative to the large figure 8 created by the main road):
* Casa
Kalumina - second red plot on the inside top left of the lower loop.
Across the street is the Hotelito SiSiSi's little beach bar (orange).
The two orange plots just to the north are the Cantarana hotel
restaurant.
* Charlys - the six Charlys are grouped in the three red
plots at the inside lower right of the top loop. The three orange plots
further to the right are the hotel Bula Bula. The larger orange plot
between the Kalumina and the Charly is a convenience store and BBQ.
Some of the best of Palm Beach estates on the southern end of Playa
Grande: (see the estate plan on the Beach page)
* Hotel Bula Bula...the
great hotel bar is the best place around to meet the locals and have an
all around great time! Bordering the estuary (with Tamarindo taxi
service to the dock). Their web site also has the best information
concerning how to get to Palm Beach from absolutely anywhere, how to
rent car, planes...check it out!
* Hotel Cantarana...Without question
so of the finest dining in all of Costa Rica and just three doors down
from the rental properties. Really a very special treat!
* Check out www.tamarindobeach.net. This is a fun way to explore what's
in Tamarindo (on follow the signs to Playa Grande!)
